Most of us are made up of many different identities. That’s nothing new. What’s fascinating is how our identities combine and separate throughout our lives to make up a composite human front that we present to the world.
Who am I?
I’m a daughter, a wife and a mother of two. I’ve been a daughter my whole life (who hasn’t, right?), and luckily for me, I have no “parent issues.” In fact, even my in-laws are lovely. I’ve been married for years to my soulmate, and we have two wonderful children who make me glad to be alive … although sometimes I wonder if they’re intentionally driving me crazy. (Ha!)
I’m also a pretty good volunteer (I’m really bad at saying “no”). I’m a detail-oriented person and I can be a leader, although most of the time I try to stay in the background since it takes less of my time. Still, I’m hands-on, dependable and I like that most people see me as indispensable once I take on a task.
As for what I do for fun … well, I like to read and I like to watch good TV. But what I most like to do is write. In fact, I’m obsessed by it. I run dialogue in my head at night and I make notes of good titles whenever I hear something cool. I don’t write as often as I’d like because real life has a way of taking over, but wouldn’t it be marvelous if I could live in my books?
P.S. Just to give credit where credit is due, my daughter took the picture that I’m using in my header!
